Kula Run

Had a great run from Rice Park to the end of Thompson road and back this morning. Not sure of the distance, 9 miles maybe more. That's what map quest says anyway. My friend Sarah joined me which kept me from turning around short. Not much sleep last night so I would have been lazy had I been alone. It's amazing how much shorter a run seems when chatting with a friend. Perfect cool, overcast weather helped as well. The old Thompson Ranch house is being remodeled, almost a tear down, same footprint. Workers were there so we went to investigate but weren't allowed in the buildings. It's charming and will be a great B & B when it's done.
After the run we refreshed ourselves with c2o coconut water. I want to give a HUGE shout out to Ron Greene, the owner, for his extreme generosity in sponsoring me for next year's races. I may even end up with a bike so I can do triathlons. I'm so grateful for their help and also a little nervous. Yikes, now I really have to perform! I've ramped up training with the spectacular Tree Baca who trains at Upcountry Fitness. Also working with a running coach, Fred Losano, who is donating his time. He's amazing. I've already gotten faster after just about 6 or 7 track workouts.
Next Thursday we'll run the same course for the Turkey Trot. Happy Thanksgiving everyone.
