Some Things I Like
Traveling. Running. A full hot pot of oolong tea. Running trails. Flying fish scattering in front of a boat. Rainbows made by moonlight. Hiking a trail for the first time. Hiking a trail for the tenth time. Climbing mountains, being at high altitude. Shooting stars. Jumping horses. Singing. Getting 2 long distance calls from friends in one day. Reading. Writing. 12 year old single Islay malt whiskey. Beer. Photos of friends having fun. The smell of eucalyptus and redwoods. Peaches when they are perfectly ripe, heavy with juice and warm from the sun. Feeling the fuzzy skin on my lips before biting in and having the juice run down my chin and arm. Old Jackson 5 music. Warm wind and moonlight on my naked body. Swimming in a warm calm sea. Salt water kisses. Long, slow, wet, deep kisses. Figs, straight off the tree, blackberries straight off the vine. The sound of goats. Making someone smile or laugh. Helping someone out of a jam. Helping a stranger. Guiding a lost tourist. Helping someone overcome a fear of the ocean, watching them conquer. The feel of a hand laid gently on my belly. Roller coasters. Kettle bells. Belly laughs from babies. Comets. Running my tongue across my teeth after a visit to the dentist. Crawling into bed after a long physical day. Afternoon naps. Fly fishing with my dad. Watching X-files with my mom. Mountain biking out of control. Waiting for the gun at the start of a race. Crossing the finish line first. Laughing hysterically with my brother. Sleeping in a tent. Waterfalls. LIFE!
