Waihe'e Ridge

The only problem with being the first one on a trail in the morning, which I frequently am, is that one becomes the clearer of spider webs and swallower of the little flying buggies that the rising sun brings to life. I got to the gate by Mendes Ranch this morning just after it opened hoping to get my workout in before the day got too hot. Unfortunately the gate doesn't open early enough. It was sweltering by mile 1. But I toughed it out and made it up to the picnic bench in less than an hour and finished in 1:33:13. I'm not into full on training yet but I'm planning my strategy for the next fundraising feat. Machu Picchu for the Breast Cancer Fund. Don't forget it's Breast Cancer Awareness month. Know your girls. Save a life, grope your wife. Save the ta-tas and all that jazz. Lets stop this rampant disease!!
