My morning began with a dream of a messy house filled with dirty dishes and half dead house plants. Then through the dream came three women dressed like a cross between a Dunkard and a fairy godmother. They walked through the house together, almost floating from plant to plant, touching each and bringing it to life. Withered ficus blossomed into bright green, lush bushes, coleus perked up and stood at attention, a fuchsia I had just watered erupted into pink and purple double blooms, the leaves filling out and pouring over the edge of the pot.
From this dream I woke to the soothing purr of the ocean and a tiny sliver of moon outside my bedroom window.
As if this weren't enough for a great start to a new day I followed the dream with a perfect bike ride. Just a short ride out to Kaupakalua and back but it was refreshing to not have the pressure of an upcoming race; to not have to meet a certain time or pace, to ride without a watch and heart rate monitor. I pedaled into a pink streaky sunrise in a cool, calm breeze. On the return trip I was delighted by the Bactrian humps of Molokai poking up out of the ocean beyond Kahakuloa, the sun gleaming off long, smooth, rolling waves. As I rounded the curve into Maliko Gulch my view was the hulking mass of Haleakala with clouds nudging their way into Ko'olau Gap.
By 7:30 I'm home ready for my acai bowl, blending it with Vega chocolate protein powder and chocolate hemp milk, topped with granola, coconut, hemp seeds, cashews, cherries, blueberries and sunflower seeds. YUM!
Life is such an amazing adventure and I am grateful every day for the love and abundance and FUN that mine is filled with. I'm one lucky girl.
