Yes, that's ice. I love that I can listen to my boots crunching in frost in the morning and feel my feet sizzle in hot sand in the afternoon.
Another lovely training day on Haleakala. Came out with branches and twigs and leaves and dirt all over my body, sticking out of my hair, in the pockets of my pack. Bushwhacking, rock climbing, flushing pheasants, half moon hanging in the sky. All topped off with some delicious ginger turmeric Maui Kombucha. Aaaahhhhh. Now that's my idea of a good time.
